Real Estate

At the end of all the building, we’ll be selling our condo. We’ve been in it since 2008 and if you asked me if we’d still be in it 15 years later, I would have probably said nope. But, here we are. It’s been a good condo and overall, we’ve had very few complaints about it. It is about 1,300 square feet, and was originally a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, and after finishing the basement is now a 3 bedroom, 2 bath with a living room space in the lower level as well. It’s plumbed down there to add a third bathroom, but I just never felt like taking on that challenge.

We had a great conversation with Jennifer Pesicek from Coldwell Banker Elite in our area. She came over and took a tour of the condo and answered some questions we had. We had some questions about some improvements we had thought about doing with kitchen cabinet pulls, counter tops, light fixtures, and the basement non-bathroom. The answers we got were sort of along the lines we thought we’d get. For example, while doing the bathroom would obviously be good, but probably wouldn’t be worth the cost/time for us to have it or have it done for us. Getting rid of cabinet knobs and making them all matching pulls was a good idea, as was upgrading the kitchen countertops to not be the builder laminate that they are now. She took our notes and her notes from the walk through and is going to prepare for us a presentation that shows the comps and what an estimated selling price could/should be for our condo when we go to sell it.
