Now that we’ve gotten to the point where the plan is fairly stable, and the estimators can begin work on the overall cost for the house. We know that the base price for the model we chose is $510,000. So the real question is how much does our basement and all our other changes come to. That will at least give us a starting point. We’re fully expecting it to end up over our desired budget, and then we’ll start looking at what we can take out, or change to get the cost down.
I’ll have to make a spreadsheet where we can put down the base price and all of the options, etc with pricing once we have it back so that we can add and remove stuff and see how it affects our bottom line.
Along with starting on pricing, we’re continuing the search for lots. We’ve looked at a few more in the area, but now we find ourselves comparing them to the Lot 7 down at Ripple Brook.
